Public Health Alert Issued for Chicken by Productos Dany of Puerto Rico

The USDA is issuing a public health alert about chicken products that were made by Productos Dany, Inc. of Hatillo, Puerto Rico. About 6,907 pounds of chicken products were recalled because they contain previously recalled ingredients. These foods were imported by the Trafon Group of Puerto Nuevo, Puerto Rico, but were not presented for FSIS re-inspeciton. The previously recalled products are subject to FSIS Recall 123-2017, issued on November 16, 2017. Those products, which included Harvest Creek Chicken Franks, Olymel pork shoulder, Polean ham, frozen pork loins, and pork chops, were also not inspected. Pride of Iowa Chicken, Pork, and Beef Products Recalled for No Inspection

Pride of Iowa Sandwiches is recalling about 31 pounds of chicken, pork, and beef products that were made without the benefit of federal inspection. No confirmed reports of illnesses or adverse reactions have been received to date in connection with this issue. These salads, wraps, and other products were made on November 2 and 6, 2017. They do not have the USDA federal mark of inspection. The products were shipped to retail vending machines in Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota. CC Kitchens Recalls Meat Products Made Without Inspection

CC Kitchens of Ohio is recalling about 269 pounds of meat and poultry products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and outside inspection hours. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions received to date. The problem was discovered on November 2, 2017 by FSIS inspection program personnel while performing inspection duties. The recalled products were produced on November 1, 2017. The Osso Good Company of California is recalling 1,210 pounds of beef and pork bone broth products that were made without the benefit of federal inspection. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date in connection with this problem. J & Y Dasung of Los Angeles, conducting business as Som See Neh, is recalling about 178,355 pounds of frozen pork dumplings because they were not inspected by federal officials. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products. The recalled products include boxes containing 12 3-pound plastic bags of "SOM SEE NEH Vegetable Meat Dumpling" with "Shelf Life: Frozen with 16months" and case code 96859-08224. Also recalled is boxes containing 12 3-pound plastic bags of "SOM SEE NEH KIMCHI Dumplings" with "Shelf Life: Frozen with 16months" and case code 96859-08223. Beef Jerky Recalled in Wisconsin for No Inspection

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has posted a recall notice for beef jerky produced by Johnson's Sausage Shoppe in Rio, Wisconsin. The jerky was not properly inspected before it was put on sale. The products have the Wisconsin legend with the number 293 on the label or on the package. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product. Olymel S.E.C./L.P., of Canada, is recalling about 1,124 pounds of pork ribs because they were repacked and distributed without federal inspection. The items were shipped to restaurants in Michigan. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue. The products are 10 pound cardboard boxes of pork rib tips with a packaging date of January 10-13, 2017, and 30 pound cardboard boxes of pork rib tips with a packaging date of January 10-13, 2017. Wattie’s Canned Spaghetti Recalled for No Inspection

Kiwi Care Package Company of California is recalling about 90 pounds of Wattie's canned spaghetti that was not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection. This product was imported from a New Zealand establishment that was not eligible to export product to the U.S. Without the benefit of a full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists. The product was imported on September 1, 2016. It is Wattie's Canned Spaghetti with Sausage 100% Lamb & Beef in 300 gram cans. The recall is for 137 of these cans. RFG Canada of Ontario is recalling about 1,250 pounds of meat and poultry pizza products imported from Canada because they were not inspected on entry into the United States. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists. There have been no confirmed reports of illness associated with the consumption of these products. The recalled products are 30.3 ounce packages of "WEIS Self-Rising Pizza; Chicken Bacon Ranch," with UPC number 041497028337. The product's Canada Establishment number is 411 and the best by date is May 16 2017.
