Cucumbers Sold in GA and FL Recalled for Salmonella

Thomas Produce Company of Boca Raton, FL is recalling 174 bulk-packed containers of cucumbers that may be contaminated with Salmonella. Consumers who have purchased these cucumbers should not eat them as Salmonella causes serious illness that is sometimes fatal. At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been reported to the company. Symptoms of a Salmonella infection include fever, diarrhea that can be bloody, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. The recalled cucumbers were sold to distributors in Florida and Georgia between December 15 and December 16, 2015. All distributors that received The product have been notified. Salmonella Outbreak Triggers Custom Produce Cucumber Recall

The deadly cucumber Salmonella outbreak has triggered another cucumber recall. This one by Custom Produce Sales of  Parlier, California. The recalled cucumbers were sold under the Fat Boy® label starting August 1, 2015.  Unlabeled cucumbers packed into a black reusable plastic container were sold in Nevada, as of August 1, 2015 are also covered by this recall. No other Fat Boy® products are covered by this recall. Custom Produce is working with health authorities on this recall and  has contacted all customers who may have received this product. Salmonella in Cucumbers Triggers Deli Sandwich Recall at Safeway and Carrs Stores in Alaska

Deli sandwiches made with cucumbers linked to the Salmonella outbreak are being recalled from Safeway and Carrs Stores in Alaska.  This recall is part of the Andrew and Williamson Fresh Produce recall of cucumbers that have been linked to a 30-state  Salmonella Poona outbreak that has sickened 341 people killing two of them. No illnesses associated with the sandwiches had been reported at the time of the recall. Safeway is voluntarily recalling made-to-order deli sandwiches with cucumbers sold in nine Safeway and Carrs stores in Alaska from August 1 through September 4 from the full-service sandwich counter.
