Organic Deglet Noor Dates Recalled by Natural Grocers for Undeclared Coconut

The “Natural Grocers” brand of “ORGANIC DEGLET NOOR DATES PITTED” has been recalled by Vitamin Cottage Natural Foods Markets, Inc. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), these dates may contain coconut, a common allergen which was not listed on the package labeling. Vitamin Cottage Natural Food Markets, Inc. is a natural grocery chain headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado. Whole Foods Market PB&J Parfaits Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) reports that Sunneen Health Foods has recalled its “WHOLE FOODS MARKET PB&J PARFAITS” from select stores in the states of New Jersey and New York. These parfaits may contain tree nut (almond and coconut) and soy allergens that were not declared on the product labeling. Tree nut and soy ingredients may be life-threatening to those who are allergic to them, potentially causing dangerous anaphylaxis shock. The parfaits affected by the recall were distributed to and sold at Whole Foods Market stores in Englishtown, New Jersey (113 Route 9 S.), Edgewater, New Jersey (905 River Road), New York, New York (4 Union Square South and 1095 6th Avenue), and Brooklyn, New York (238 Bedford Avenue).
