Aleias Gluten Free Croutons Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

Aleias Gluten Free Foods is recalling certain lots of its 8 ounce Parmesan Croutons and Classic Croutons because they may contain undeclared peanut protein. People who have an allergy to peanuts should not eat these products as they run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. At the time of the recall, there had been no reports of illness. The recalled products were distributed nationwide in grocery stores and through web orders. They were packaged in a brown cardboard box with white text. Holiday Foods Recalls Chicken, Beef Products for Undeclared Peanut

Holiday Foods of  Hollywood, Fla.  is recalling approximately 1,819 pounds of beef, chicken and pork products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, peanuts. There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products but consumers with allergies to peanuts should not eat these products as they risk severe or life-threatening reaction if they do. Holiday Foods was notified by its spice supplier that the cumin in a spice mix used to formulate the products may have been contaminated with peanuts.
