Baptista’s Bakery Recalls Crackers for Possible Salmonella

Baptista’s Bakery is recalling 4,339 cases of crackers because they contain a seasoning blend that may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. Kerry Ingredients has recalled this blend. No illnesses have been reported to date. This is the second secondary recall stemming from the ingredient recall.

Recall SignageThe recalled product is LiveGfree Gluten Free Rosemary and Olive Oil Multiseed Crackers, sold in 4.25 ounce packages. The best by date is 11-24-14. The product was distributed nationally.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard in a closed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses and weakened immune systems. Healthy people can become seriously ill, with diarrhea, fever, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Salmonella bacteria can cause blood infections and this illness can lead to lifelong health problems.
