Deep Coriander Recalled for Salmonella

corianderDeep brand Coriander powder produced by Chetak New York company of Edison, NJ is being recalled for Salmonella. The recalled product was sold in 14.1 oz jars. Consumers who have purchased this product should not us it as Salmonella can cause serious illness.

Those most at risk for Salmonella infections are young children, frail or elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of an infection include fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps.

The recalled products were distributed to retail stores nationwide from July 30, 2015 to August 13, 2015. The recalled products were sold in 14.1oz clear plastic jars marked with the UPC number 011433134347 on the rear of the package.

No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall.
