JML Ingredients Inc. of East Petersburg, PA is recalling IQF Cut Green Beans because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Consumers who have purchased this product should not eat it as Listeria can cause serious illness and death.
Symptoms of a Listeria infection include fever, stiff neck, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriages and stillbirths. In addition to pregnant women, those most at risk are young children, seniors and those with weakened immune systems.
