TDBBS Pig Ears Are Voluntarily Recalled For Possible Salmonella

TDBBS is voluntarily recalling two pig ear pet treat products that were sold through Amazon.com for possible Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall of TDBBS pig ears. The two pig ear pet treat products are USA Thick Pig Ear 8 Pack and USA Thick Pig Ear 20 Pack. This recall is the result of routine sampling conducted by the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development. The sample bag tested positive for Salmonella, which triggered the recall. Salmonella and other pathogenic bacteria can affect pets who eat them and human beings who handle the products and their pets. White Castle Frozen Sandwiches Recalled For Possible Listeria

White Castle frozen sandwiches are being recalled for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall. The recalled White Castle frozen sandwiches are all identified as sliders. They include frozen 6 pack cheeseburgers, frozen 6 pack hamburgers, frozen 6 pack jalapeƱo cheeseburgers, 16 pack hamburgers, and 16 pack cheeseburgers. The products are sold in rectangular cardboard packages. The code date is on a side panel. You can see the long list of recalled product lot codes and best by dates at the FDA web site, along with pictures of all of the product labels. A+ Answers Straight Beef Formula For Dogs Recalled For Salmonella

The FDA has issued a press release, warning pet owners to not feed their dogs one lot of A+ Answers Straight Beef Formula for Dogs because it has tested positive for Salmonella bacteria. The lot number is 2018 20/08 20. Federal law requires all pet food be free from pathogens. Lystn, LLC, doing business as Answers Pet food, recalled the lot in Nebraska, but hasn't implemented a nationwide recall. This press release is issued because the pet food "is adulterated under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act." Salmonella can make pets and people sick. Symptoms of a Salmonella infection in both species include vomiting, diarrhea that may be bloody, and nausea. Pets can carry the bacteria but show no symptoms, and can pass it on to people.
