Salmonella Outbreak at X10 Restaurant in Dalhart TX Sickens 64

The Texas State Health Department states that there are 64 confirmed cases of Salmonella food poisoning in Dalhart, most from the X10 Texas Wood Fired Grill restaurant (otherwise known as 10 in Texas). Twelve additional cases have been reported since the restaurant voluntarily closed after illnesses were reported. Food poisoning attorney Fred Pritzker, who underwrites Food Poisoning Bulletin and has won millions for injured clients, said, "Most large food poisoning outbreaks are tied to restaurants. Unfortunately, many food workers do not get paid sick leave and are not properly trained in food safety skills by management. Outbreaks such as this one are not uncommon." Dalhart X10 Steakhouse Salmonella Cases Double, 59 Now Sick

Salmonella has sickened 59 people in Dalhart, Texas, a small town in the northwest corner of the panhandle. At least 52 of those cases have been linked to the X10 in Texas Woodfire Grill Steakhouse. The total number of cases has doubled since the outbreak was announced one week ago. The popular restaurant, located about 90 miles northwest of Amarillo, voluntarily closed for a cleaning after the initial 30 cases were reported and was cleared by the health department to reopen. Health authorities say no new cases occurred after the cleaning.Health authorities are still investigating the outbreak and  trying to determine its source. Salmonella Outbreak at X10 Woodfire Steakhouse in TX

According to Carrie Williams, Director of Media Relations at the Texas Department of State Health Services, at least 30 people are sick with Salmonella infections in connection with the X10 Woodfire Steakhouse Restaurant in Dalhart. The restaurant closed voluntarily the week of February 9, 2015 and was sanitized. It has since been cleared for reopening. Anyone who ate at that restaurant and experienced the symptoms of a Salmonella infection, including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, chills, headache, muscle pains, and blood in the stool, should contact their doctor. Salmonella at X10 Woodfire Steakhouse Sickens 30 in Dalhart Texas

A Salmonella outbreak at X10 in Texas Woodfire Steakhouse in Dalhart, Texas has sickened at least 30 people, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.  The restaurant voluntarily closed last week for a cleaning and was cleared for reopening after it was sanitized. The department is also investigating additional cases of Salmonella food poisoning reported in the area, Carrie Williams, a health department spokeswoman, told Food Poisoning Bulletin in an email. The health department has not yet determined the source of the contamination.  "All environmental and food samples tested negative for Salmonella. We are continuing to investigate," Williams said.
