Late July Snacks, LLC, is recalling Organic Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers becasue they were made with Sunland peanut butter, which has been recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. One of Sunland’s products, Trader Joe’s Valencia Peanut Butter, has been linked to an outbreak of Salmonella Bredeney in the United States that has sickened at least 30 people.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the Sunland Extra Stabilized Organic Creamy Peanut Butter or Late July Organic Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers. The recalled products are the 5 ounce box with UPC number 890444000700 and Best Before Code of 19MAY13 through 11JUL13. Also recalled are the 8 ounce carton/1.125 ounce single serve caddy with UPC number 890444000724, and the 1.125 ounce pack (single serve pck) with UPC number 890444000717. The Best Before dates for the last two products are 15JUN13 through 10JUL13.
