SpaghettiOs Recalled for Plastic Pieces That Pose Choking Hazard

Campbell Soup Company is recalling SpagehettiOs Original because some cans contain plastic pieces that pose a choking hazard. Consumers who have purchased the recalled cans should not eat them as they pose risk of injury. The problem as discovered after the company received complaints from customers. The recalled 14.2 ounce cans  have the date February 22, 2017 stamped on the base of the can, and a UPC code of 51000 22432 printed under the bar code. This recall affects 355,000 cans and is limited to the United States. Potatoes Recalled in Canada for Possible Tampering

Lobular Companies and Strang's Produce are voluntarily recalling Farmer's Market and Strang's Produce brands of Russet Potatoes from the market because they may have been tampered with. Nails and needles were found in the potatoes. No injuries have been reported to date. You can see the long list of products recalled, the brand names, common name, size of packages, codes on the products, and UPC numbers at the CFIA web site. Two Products Recalled in Canada for Foreign Materials

Two products have been recalled in Canada for foreign materials. McCain Foods is recalling their Hashbrowns because there may be pieces of plastic in the product. And President's Choice Organics is recalling their Primavera Pasta Sauce for possible pieces of plastic. No injuries have been reported in association with the consumption of either of these products. McCain brand Hashbrowns are sold in 900 gram packages. The Lot Code is F40822 and Batch Code is 1000879725. The UPC number is 0 55773 00080 1. It was sold nationally at the retail level. President's Choice Organics Primavera Pasta Sauce is sold in 700 ml containers. The code on the product is BB/MA 2015 AU 07 and the UPC number is 0 60383 69005 2. Publix Recalls Private Label Jalapeño Bagels for Glass Pieces

Publix is recalling their private label Jalapeño Bagels because they may contain pieces of glass and small stones. The bagels were sold in either the self-service bins or artisan cases in the bakery department. The bagels were sold in Publix stores located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. They were not sold in Tennessee or North Carolina. Publix was told of their problem by their supplier. There have been no reported cases of illness or injury. Pedigree Dog Food Recalled for Possible Foreign Material

Mars Petcare is recalling 22 bags of Pedigree Adult Complete Nutrition dry dog food because it may be contaminated with foreign material. The bags were produced in one facility and shipped to one retail customer. The 15 pound bags were sold between August 18 and 25, 2014 in 12 Dollar General stores in Magnolia and Vicksburg in Mississippi; Perryville and Cabot in Arkansas; Memphis in Tennessee; and Baton Rouge, Calhoun, Hineston, Jonesville, Pineville, and Slaughter in Louisiana. They may contain small metal fragments. The fragments aren't embedded in the food itself, but could present a risk of injury if consumed. The UPC number is 23100 10944. Wegman’s Organic Deli Ham Recalled for Foreign Materials

E. G. Emils & Sons Inc. of Philadelphia is recalling approximately 5,896 pounds of deli ham product that may be contaminated with extraneous materials. People who have purchased this product should not eat it. The recalled product, Wegman’s Food You Feel Good About Organic Ham has pack lot numbers 14941309, 14941310 and 14941311 and “EST 9935” inside the USDA mark of inspection on the labels. It was produced May 29, and shipped to Wegman’s locations in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. It ham was sold sliced at deli counters between June 12 and June 25. The problem was discovered by a Wegman’s employee. Wegmans Bagged Ice Recalled for Metal Fragments

Wegmans Food Markets is recalling bagged ice because it may contain small metal pieces from a broken part in the machine that makes the ice, posing a possible choking hazard. There have been no reported injuries to date, and no reports from consumers that any metal was found in the product. The problem was discovered by Wegmans during a routine maintenance check. The Wegmans Ice is sold in 18 pound bags with UPC number 77890 29200 and in 7 pound bags with UPC number 77890 29200. It was sold between January 1 and June 10, 2014. About 6,000 bags were sold to customers in Pennsylvania (excluding Erie), New Jersey, Virginia, and Maryland. In Canada, Ground Beef Recalled for Metal Fragments

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Loblaw Companies Limited are recalling Butcher's Choice brand ground beef products sold in the Miramichi, New Brunswick marketplace for possible metal fragment contamination. There have been no reported injuries associated with the consumption of these products. The recalled products were sold at the Miramichi Real Atlantic Superstore at 408 King George Highway. The codes on the products are all Best Before 14.MA.16, 14.MA.17, or 14.MA.18. Publix is voluntarily recalling private label Baby Bella Sliced Mushrooms because a customer found a piece of glass in the product. No injuries have been repotted to date. The store that reported the notice is in Lakeland, Florida. There is no information about this recall on the FDA web site. The recalled product is Publix Baby Bella Sliced Mushrooms, with UPC number 4141502286. The lot code on the product is PHG 096. The mushrooms are sold in 8-ounce packages.
