Christopher Ranch and Garland Peeled Garlic Recalled For Temp

Christopher Ranch and Garland Peeled Garlic are being recalled for a temperature issue, which could allow for the growth of Clostridium botulinum, that produce spores that make the toxin botulism. All of the products were sold at TOPS stores. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these items. The recalling firm is Tops Friendly Markets of Williamsville, New York.   The temperature instruction on the products states that they must be held at 32 to 35 or 32 to 37 degrees, and the cooler is not holding that temperature. Sheikh Halal Meat and Poultry Sausage products are being recalled because they are mislabeled and could be subject to temperature abuse. There is no handling statement on the products that should state they need to be kept refrigerated, so bacterial growth could occur. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been reported to the company to date. The recalling firm is Alef Sausage of Mundelein, Illinois. A public health alert has been issued for Signature Select Breakfast Bowl products because the USDA is concerned that the products were subject to temperature abuse during storage at a distribution center. This may have resulted the growth of spoilage organisms or pathogens. A food recall was not requested because this product is no longer available for consumers to purchase.
