Chicken Cutlets Recalled for Listeria Risk

Mom’s Chicken Extra Thin Cutlets are being recalled for possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, according to  U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). TNUVA USA of Fairfield, N.J. is recalling approximately 8,316 pounds of the product which was shipped to a distributor in New Jersey. There have been no reports of illness. The recalled products were sold in 28.8-oz. bags labelled MOM’S CHICKEN EXTRA THIN CUTLETS, THIN-CUT BREADED CUTLET SHAPED CHICKEN BREAST PATTIES. The bags are marked with the Israeli establishment number “209," the expiration date  February 18, 2015, and the UPC number on the packaging: 843426005866. Costco Recalls Foster Farms Salmonella Chicken

Costco is reminding consumers that fresh chicken products sold under the Foster Farms and Kirkland brand produced in March are being recalled for Salmonella contamination. The products are linked to a huge nationwide outbreak that has been ongoing since March 2013. The recalled items have "use or freeze by" dates ranging from March 17, 2014 to March 31, 2014. The identifying plant marks on the recalled products are P-6137, P-6137A or P-7632 that should be inside the USDA mark of inspection. If you have these products in your freezer, discard immediately or return to the place of purchase for a refund. Boulder Meats Teriyaki Chicken Breasts Recalled For Gluten

Boulder Natural Meats of Denver is recalling approximately 363 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breasts with teriyaki seasoning because they contain gluten. Consumers with a wheat allergy, celiac disease or a gluten intolerance should not eat these products as they run the risk of a reaction if they do. At the time of the recall, the company had not received reports of illness The recalled products were sold at retail stores in Colorado in 1 to 1.5-lbs. vacuum sealed packages labeled of  “Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts brushed with Teriyaki Seasoning” The recalled product bears the establishment number “P18852” inside the USDA mark of inspection and was produced May 13 and 14 and has a freeze by date of 05.24.14 or 05.25.14.
