72 in Estill County KY Sick, 35 with Salmonella, 8 Hospitalized

A food poisoning outbreak in Estill County, Kentucky includes at least 72 people, and 35 of them have confirmed cases of Salmonella infection, according to local new reports. A young boy is among the eight people who have been hospitalized. County and state health officials are working to determine the cause of the outbreak. They have not named the restaurant associated with the outbreak but said it voluntarily closed to aid the outbreak investigation. Salmonella Outbreak in Estill County, Kentucky Sickens 49

A Salmonella outbreak at a restaurant in Estill County, Kentucky has sickened 49 people, eight of whom have been hospitalized, according to the Estill County Health Department. So far, one case has been culture confirmed and 23 of the illnesses are suspected cases. County health officials are working with the state health department to determine the cause of the outbreak.
