Private Selection Pies Recalled for Undeclared Eggs

Legendary Baking of Denver, Colorado is recalling 726 Private Selection pies because they may contain undeclared eggs. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs who eats one of these pies may have a serious or life-threatening reaction. No illnesses have been reported to date. The product is 9-inch pies labeled "Apple Lattice" with UPC number 1111060195 and Lot Code 12296. They were distributed to Quality Food Centers (QFC) in Washington state and Oregon only. The pies have sell by dates of November 4 through November 26, 2012. The pies are sealed in a brown cardboard box with a see-through plastic label. Whole Foods Recalls Cookies for Undeclared Nut Allergens; One Person Ill

Whole Foods Market is recalling two cookies from their bulk bins because they contain almonds and pecans, two of the major food allergens, that are not declared on the label. The products were sold loose as Cookies-by-the-Pound, a self-serving section in the Bakery area of the store. The products are Wedding Cookies, which contain pecans, and Almondine Wedding Cookies, which contain almonds. One illness has been confirmed in Georgia. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to those foods could have a serious or life-threatening reaction. Jimmy Dean® is recalling a partial production run of the brand's butcher wrapped Food service product Jimmy Dean® French Toast & Sausage Sandwich because it may contain undeclared allergens egg and soy. The recall is due to a labelling error, in which the wrong ingredient statement was applied to some of the sandwiches. Perdue Recalls Chicken Products for Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen

Perdue Foods is recalling about 1,440 pounds of chicken breast nugget products because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen. Milk was used in the product and it is not declared on the label. The problem was discovered by the company and occurred because of an ingredient reformulation and labeling error. There have been no reports of adverse reactions. The product recalled is bundled packages of three 12-ounce tray packs of "Perdue Original Chicken Breast Nuggets". Each package has the establishment number "P. 369" inside the USDA mark of inspection, and a sell by date of December 16, 2012.
