SOWTECH Espresso Machines Recalled For Possible Burn Hazard

SOWTECH Espresso Machines are being recalled for a possible burn hazard, according to a notice posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website. There have been 48 incidents of the  glass carafe breaking reported to the company, which resulted in five burn injuries. The recalling firm is LoHi Tech of Walnuts, California. The glass carafe can break while in use, which can burn anyone using the machine. The recalled item is SOWTECH Espresso Machines with model number CM6811. The machines are black and were sold with a glass carafe. "SOWTECH" is printed on large black type on the metal front panel, and "Model CM6811" is printed on a silver label on the bottom of the machine. IKEA Bowls Plates and Mugs Recalled For Burn Hazard

IKEA bowls plates and mugs are being recalled for a possible burn hazard, according to a notice on the Consumer Products Safety Commission recall page.  These products can become brittle and break, which can cause hot food or liquid to leak out, posing a burn hazard. There are 123 reports of breakage worldwide, including four reports of injuries, two of which required medical attention. There was one incident reported in the U.S., which did not cause an injury. Most of the injuries were burns that were caused by hot contents leaking out of the containers. About 148,000 of these products were sold in the United States, and about 11,40 were sold in Canada. Sunbeam Crock Pot 6-Quart Express Recalled For Burn Hazard

The Sunbeam Crock Pot 6-Quart Express Crock Multi-Cooker is being recalled for possible burn hazard. This product is a pressure cooker and it sautés food as well as acting as a slow cooker. The product can pressurize when the lid is not fully locked, according to the recall notice, so the lid could suddenly detach. This can create a burn risk to consumers from hot food and liquids that can be ejected from the product. Sunbeam Products has received 119 reports of lid detachment, which resulted in 99 burn injuries ranging in severity from first-degree to third-degree burns. This product was sold at Walmart, Target, and other retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon and other online retailers from July 2017 through November 2020 for between $70 and $100. YETI Rambler Travel Mugs with Stronghold Lid in one size are being recalled for possible injury and burn hazard. The recalled item is YETI Rambler 20 ounce Travel Mugs with Stronghold Lids. The magnet slider on the lid can eject and hot contents can spill out, posing injury and burn hazards. No injuries have been reported to date, although the company has received two reports of the magnetic slider being ejected after it was sealed with hot liquid. The recall is only for the Stronghold Lid version, not the traditional magnetic lid. The travel mugs were sold nationwide and online at the company's web site from October 1, 2020 to October 9, 2020 for about $35. The mugs were manufactured in China. Fully Popped Poppin' Cobs Microwave Popcorn is being recalled from the marketplace because the popcorn's brown paper bag can catch fire when the bag is put into the microwave oven. This poses a fire and burn hazard. The popcorn was sold exclusively at Uncommon Goods Stores in Brooklyn, New York from September 2019 through January 2020 for about $18. About 4,900 packages were recalled. The recalled product is Poppin' Cobs Microwave Popcorn that has 10 cobs per package.  The popcorn is packaged in a brown box with a black top and label. Ten Poppin' Cobs are individually wrapped inside the package. There are also ten brown bags used for popping. Only boxes with the date code 042121 on the back of the box are included in this recall.
