The Salmonella outbreak linked to Burrito Delight restaurants in Weld County, Colorado has now sickened 37 people. That's an increase from 35 people as reported in the last update on March 1, 2018. The illnesses have occurred during February and March of this year. Four of those patients have been hospitalized because their illnesses are so serious. The restaurant has voluntarily closed both of its locations in Fort Lupton and Dacono, and they will remain closed until the investigation is over. The case count for the Burrito Delight Salmonella outbreak in Weld County, Colorado has been updated by government officials. As of March 1, 2018, there are 35 laboratory-confirmed cases of Salmonella linked to that restaurant. The Salmonella outbreak in Weld County, Colorado linked to Burrito Delight restaurants has grown to include 21 patients. All of those cases are laboratory-confirmed. The press release from the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment states that "the number of probable cases continues to rise." The Salmonella outbreak in Colorado has now grown to 12 people sickened, according to the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment. The press release states that "the source of the outbreak is the Burrito Delight restaurant." This is an increase of two patients since the last update. That restaurant has closed both of its locations in Fort Lupton and Dacono. Public health officials are still investigating the source of the outbreak.
