The Seattle Evergreen restaurants E. coli O157:H7 outbreak has now sickened 13 people according to a press release issued by the Seattle King County Health Department. The outbreak is associated with six Evergreen restaurants, an increase of two restaurants since the outbreak was first announced on November 26, 2019. Three people have been hospitalized because they are so sick. The six restaurants have had excellent inspection reports in the past. E. coli Outbreak Associated with Four Seattle Evergreens Restaurants
Seven people are sick in an E. coli outbreak associated with four Seattle Evergreens restaurants, according to the Seattle King County Health Department. One person has been hospitalized. Those four Evergreen restaurants are all located in Seattle. They are at Pioneer Square at 106 1st Avenue South, in the University District at 4609 Village Ter Northeast, Downtown at 823 3rd Avenue, and the International District at 504 5th Avenue South. The meal dates were November 5 through November 11, 2019. Illness onset dates ranged from November 10 through November 15, 2019. Salmonella Outbreak at Al Basha Restaurant in Seattle, WA
A Salmonella outbreak at Al Basha Restaurant in Seattle, Washington has sickened at least three people. One person has been hospitalized. That restaurant is located at 2302 1st Avenue in Seattle. The dates that the ill persons ate there are September 15, 22, and 23, 2019. A specific food or drink that may have caused these illnesses have not been identified. No employees of the restaurant have symptoms consistent with salmonellosis. The three ill persons submitted isolates for testing; all tested positive for Salmonella Enteritidis with the same genetic fingerprint. That means they have a common source of infection. Salmonella Outbreak Associated with MIller’s Guild in Seattle, Washington
An outbreak of Salmonella food poisoning associated with Miller's Guild restaurant in Seattle, Washington is being investigated by the King County Public Health Department. Six people from four separate parties got sick after eating there on dates that range from August 15, 2017 to November 3, 2017. One person was hospitalized in this outbreak, but that person has recovered. Lab testing of patient isolates found that three of those sickened had the same strain of Salmonella Braenderup. This suggests a common source of infection. The other three patients were not tested. The press release by King County states that in the past year, less than five cases of this particular strain of Salmonella Braenderup were reported in that area. Salmonella Outbreak at Seattle Pub Sickens 2
A Salmonella outbreak associated with Fadó pub in Seattle has sickened two people, according to the King County and Seattle Health Department. Both people ate at the restaurant, located on 801 1st Ave, on June 16 but were with separate parties. Those most at risk for Salmonella infection include young children, seniors and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of an infection include fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In some cases, the infection can travel to the bloodstream producing more severe illness.
