AquaStar is recalling Raw Peeled Shrimp Skewers for possible cesium-137 contamination. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is AquaStar of Seattle, Washington. The recalled product is AquaStar Raw Peeled Shrimp Skewers that were sold in Food Lion stores in these states: Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia, between July 7, 2025, and Sept. 20, 2025. The recall of Southwind Foods frozen shrimp for possible cesium-137 contamination is being updated again with more brands, types, and package sizes. That recall, published on August 21, 2025, was for Sand Bar, Arctic Shores, Best Yet, Great American, and First Street shrimp. FDA Advises Consumers Not to Eat Indonesian Imported Shrimp

The FDA is advising consumers to not eat, sell, or serve certain Indonesian imported shrimp imported from PT Bahari Makmur Sejati. The shrimp is in violation of the Federal FD&C Act because it may be contaminated with cesium-137 and may be radioactive. The problem is that shipping containers have tested positive for the radioactive isotope. No radioactive shrimp has entered U.S. commerce. This list will be updated as the FDA updates. More Kroger and AquaStar shrimp are being recalled for possible Cesium-137 contamination, which makes food radioactive. No illnesses have been reported to date. And no product that has tested positive or alerted for the contaminant has entered U.S. commerce. The recall of Great Value Shrimp for possible Cesium-137 contamination has been updated with more information. The recalling firm is Beaver Street Fisheries of Jacksonville, Florida. This is a precautionary measure and the recommended action in the FDA advisory statement. The frozen shrimp was distributed in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia. It was sold in select Walmart stores from July 28, 2025 to August 8, 2025. No illnesses have been reported to date. No product has tested positive or alerted for Cesium-137.
