A Tu Gusto Croquettes Recalled For Allergens, Lack of Inspection

A Tu Gusto Croquettes are being recalled because they contain the allergens soy, sesame seed, and wheat that are not declared on the product label, and were not inspected by the USDA. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients, as well as anyone with celiac disease, could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. The recalling firm is A Tu Gusto of Lehigh Acres, Florida. About 7,630 pounds of frozen meat and poultry croquette products are included in this recall. They were produced between April and October 2024 and have a shelf life of six months. No reports of illness or allergic reactions have been received by the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is Flagstone Foods. The recalled product is Emerald Kettle Glazed Walnuts that is packaged in a 6.5 ounce green pouch with white lettering and a picture of the glazed walnuts. Bickel's Butter Flavored Popcorn is being recalled because it may contain milk, one of the nine major food allergens, that is not declared on the label as required by law. Anyone who is allergic to or sensitive to milk, or who is lactose intolerant, could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this popcorn. The recalling firm is Bickel's Snack Foods of York, Pennsylvania. The recalled product is Bickel's Butter Flavored Popcorn. Two lots of this product are included in this recall. Serenade Foods Frozen Stuffed Chicken Recalled For Salmonella

Serenade Foods frozen stuffed chicken breasts are being recalled for possible Salmonella enteritidis contamination. These products may be associated with a multistate Salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 28 people in eight states. Way back in June 2021, one of Food Poisoning Bulletin's journalists, Carla Gillispie, identified Serenade Foods' products as items that may be tied to this outbreak. The CDC investigation has not been officially updated since June 2, 2021, but at that time the notice said that 17 people in six states are sick. Sysco Red Onions Are Recalled in Canada Salmonella Newport Outbreak

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says that Sysco red onions are recalled in relation to the Salmonella Newport outbreak in that country. The onions were imported from the United States into five western Canadian provinces. At least 114 people are sick with Salmonella Newport infections in those provinces, and 16 are hospitalized because they are so ill. The onions were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan at the consumer level. These are the cities that have Sysco locations where the Sysco red onions were sold: Victoria, Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Regina. No injuries have been reported to date in connection with this issue. The recalled products are Le Castor Oatmeal Stout in 660 ml bottles. All codes of that product are recalled. The UPC number on the product is 6 27843 17989 4. Also recalled is Castor Pilsner in 660 ml bottles. All codes of that product are recalled as well. The bottles have the UPC number 8 16514 00039 5.
