Fresh Express Gourmet Cafe Chicken Caesar Salad Bowls are being recalled for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This recall was issued because the product was made with BrucePac cooked chicken, which has been recalled for Listeria contamination. The fresh vegetable components are not a part of this recall. The recall notice did not state whether or not any illnesses have been reported to the company in connection with the consumption of this item. The recalling firm is Fresh Express of Salinas, California. The salad bowls were sold in the states of California, Louisiana, Texas, and Washington. Secondary BrucePac Listeria monocytogenes recalls are starting to mount up. The original recall, for tens of millions of pounds of fully cooked chicken and other meats, was issued on October 9, 2024 and expanded on October 15, 2024. If you have any of these products in your home, do not eat them, especially if they are salads or wraps and are not heated first. BrucePac Listeria Recall Grows Again With More Brands Added

The BrucePac Listeria recall has grown again, with more brands added, according to the USDA. The list is now 342 pages long. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products. One of the issues with this recall is that many of the products made with these potentially contaminated fully cooked meats are meant to be eaten without  a "kill step." That means consumers eat them without reheating them. If any pathogens are present in those products, people will get sick. BrucePac Meat Poultry Recall For Listeria Expands Dramatically

The BrucePac meat and poultry recall for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination has expanded dramatically over the weekend. The USDA has increased the number of pages of recalled products by the hundreds. The list now runs to 250 pages. No illnesses have been reported yet in connection with the consumption of these products. The recalling firm is BrucePac of Durant, Oklahoma. The products have the establishment numbers 51205 or P-51205 stamped inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were sold nationwide at the retail level and were also sold to restaurants and institutions such as schools.
