Two Products Recalled for Undeclared Nuts

Two products are being recalled for undeclared nuts. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with either of these recalls, but one customer did have a mild reaction. The first recall is for Eataly Artichoke spread, for undeclared walnuts, or tree nuts. Anyone who is allergic to walnuts could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. Eataly Artichoke Spread was distributed in New York City. It was sold at Eataly Flatiron, located at 200 5th Avenue in New York. The product was packaged in a plastic container with a front and back label. The front label is printed with "Eataly artichoke spread" nt wt. 7 oz. 200 g, UPC: 612067. Good Foods Recalls Ready-to-Eat Chicken Products for Undeclared Tree Nuts

Good Foods Group of Wisconsin is recalling about 130 pounds of fully cooked ready-to-eat chicken salad products because they contain cashews, or tree nuts, that are not declared on the label. tree nuts are one of the eight major food allergens. Anyone allergic to them who eats these products could have a serious reaction. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall. The ready-to-eat curry chicken salad items were produced on March 27, 2018. They include 130 pounds of 32-ounce deli cups with "GOOD FOODS, CURRY CHICKEN SALAD, MADE WITH WHITE MEAT CHICKEN" on the deli cup lid and "GOOD FOODS, ARTICHOKE & JALAPENO DIP, WITH rBST-FREE* GREEK YOGURT" on the side of the deli cup. Two Products Recalled for Undeclared Peanuts

Two products have been recalled for undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Peanuts can cause serious allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock, in those allergic to that substance. No illnesses or reactions have been reported to date in connection with this problem. The first recall is for Wegmans 9 ounce Yogurt Raisins. That product was distributed at Wegmans stores in Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. It was sold from January 16, 2018 to the present. The recalled item is Wegmans 9 ounce (255 gram) yogurt raisins. It was packaged in a plastic tub. The UPC number is 0 77890 31832 4, with the BEST BEFORE date of 01/05/19. A consumer complaint stating that the product contained yogurt covered peanuts prompted this recall. … [Read more...]

Two Honey Sauces Recalled for Undeclared Wheat and Soy

Two products have been recalled by the FDA for undeclared wheat and soy. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with either recalled product. The first recalled product is Maurice's Southern Gold Honey Sauce, produced by Piggie Park Enterprises. The company is recalling all product made in the past two years, March 11, 2016 through March 11, 2018. The sauce is distributed nationwide through the company's Flying Pig Shipping Service; in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina through their retail partners; and also at their retail stores in South Carolina. Smoked Pork Sausages Recalled for Foreign Material Contamination and Protein Bars Recalled for Nuts

Two product recalls have been issued; one for smoked sausages for foreign material contamination, the other for snack bars for undeclared nuts. No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date in either case. In the first recall, Johnsonville of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, is recalling about 109,603 pounds of smoked pork sausage products that may be contaminated with foreign materials. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions of injuries due to the consumption of these products reported to the company to date. The recalled product was produced on January 4, 2018. Two products have been recalled for undeclared egg, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to egg who consumes these products could have a serious reaction. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these recalls. The first recall is for Gourmet Cream Cheese Cinnamon Rolls from Schwartz Brothers Bakery. Two sausage products have been recalled for misbranding and undeclared allergens, according to the USDA. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date in either recall. The first recall is for J Bar B Foods, for simple truth Chicken Sausage Links with Spinach and Gruyere. The product contains milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Two Recalls: One for Undeclared Peanut, the Other for Undeclared Cashews

Two recalls today are for products that contain undeclared nuts. The products are Kancho Choco Biscuit and Tuscan Kale Pesto. The Kancho Choco Biscuit is produced by LOTTE Confectionery of Korea, recalled for undeclared peanuts. The product is sold in three different packages: Kancho 42 g, Kancho Cup 95 g, and Kancho Multi 168 g. Lab tests conducted by the CFIA revealed small amounts of peanut in the product. This product was distributed in Canada and in the U.S., most in ethnic retail stores and online stores. The product comes in a 1.48-ounce, plastic wrap package within a paper carton package marked with UPC Code # 8801062 144815 on the side.
