Various products made with pistachios are being recalled in Canada for possible Salmonella contamination.  This recall was issued because the Public Health Agency of Canada is investigating an outbreak of foodborne illness. The recalling firm is Gwalia Sweets and Restaurant. These items were sold in the province of Ontario at the retail level. They were all sold at Gwalia Sweets and Restaurant, located at 1460 Merivale Road, Unit 5, in Nepean, Ontario from June 10 up to and including July 11, 2025. The recalled products were served in various size packages because they were clerk served. There is no UPC number for these items. Nutrifresh pistachio products are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination in Canada. The recall was triggered by findings by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) during its investigation into a Salmonella outbreak. The recalling firms are Les Aliments Nutrifresh Limitee, 9536-1523 Quebec Inc. Each company listed is responsible for some, but not necessarily all, of the recalled products.  These products were sold at the retail level in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency findings that occurred during its investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak linked to pistachios in that country. Still more Pistachio products are being recalled in Canada for  possible Salmonella contamination. This recall is linked to an ongoing investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak in that country. The recalling firms are Pistachio Choco and La Brioche. These recalled items were sold online and were also sold at the retail level in the province of Ontario. The recall was triggered during an investigation by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency into a Salmonella outbreak linked to pistachios. The recalling firms are Alkadour Sweets, Mr. Kaak, and Kamo Bakery. These recalled products were sold at the retail level in the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario. Wonderful Pistachio Salmonella Outbreak Ends With 11 Sick

The Salmonella outbreak linked to Wonderful pistachios has ended after sickening 11 people, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The pistachios were recalled on March 9, consumers who have purchased them should not eat them as Salmonella can cause serious illness. Food Poisoning Bulletin alerted the agency to some discrepancies in a report earlier today and the agency is working to correct the information, so some specific information about the outbreak is not yet available. We do know that state and federal health officials used DNA “fingerprinting” to identify 11 case patients. Texas Star Nut & Food Company is expanding its recall of pistachios for possible Salmonella contamination. There is a Salmonella outbreak that is linked to pistachios ongoing at this time, but no illnesses have been reported in relation to these products at this time. The first recall, issued on March 10, 2016, was for just Nature's Eats Natural Pistachio Kernels. The newly recalled products are Fresh Choice Survivor Mix in 4.75 ounce containers, with UPC number 0-39759-17030-6 and best by dates of 9/11/2016 - 1/13/2017.
