iDevices Food Thermometers Recalled for Ingestion Hazard

The Consumer Products Safety Commission is recalling iDevices cooking thermometer probes because the plastic insulator inside the stainless steel probe is not heat resistant. The plastic can melt and fall into the food, making it an ingestion hazard. The recall is for all Pro Ambient Temperature Probes and Pro Meat Probes manufactured from May 2014 through June 2014. The probes were sold separately as an accessory for the iGrill, iGrill2, iGrillmini grilling thermometers and the Kitchen Thermometer and Kitchen Thermometer mini cooking thermometers. The meat probe was sold as a component of the iGrill2 set. The probes are maid of a curved stainless steel rod attached to a mini connector by a steel braided cable. Plum Organics Recalls Baby Food Pouches

Plum Organics is recalling a limited quantity of two varieties of its World Baby pouch products because of "intermittent damage" to the plastic spouts during manufacturing. That could cause small fragments to loosen, detach, and present a choking hazard. Plum Organics has received 14 consumer complaints about damaged spouts, but no injuries have been reported to date. The recalled products include World Baby Italy - Zucchini & Spinach with Pasta Marinara. The product has a "Best By" date of 09Sep14 (September 9, 2014). Reed and Barton Recall Baby Utensils for Choking Hazard

Reed and Barton is recalling about 4,000 baby forks and spoons because the pink coloring on the bunny's ears can come off. This poses choking and ingestion hazards. No injuries have been reported to date, although one consumer reported that the pink coloring came off the flatware. The flatware is from the Gingham Bunny Flatware Collection. It is sold as the infant feeding spoon, in a fork and spoon set, and in a three piece set which is comprised of the feeding spoon with a bib and bowl. The flatware is nickel-plated silver with a bunny on the end of the handle. The utensils were sold at Reed and Barton factory stores and gift shops throughout the United States and online from September 2012 through January 2013. Grippo Foods Recalls Potato Chips for Small Metal Fragments

Grippo Foods of Ohio is recalling several varieties of their potato chips because they may contain small metal fragments, which can result in serious injury. Small lacerations in the throat or GI system, dental injury, and choking are all possible. No injuries have been reported to date. Wegmans Recalls Pumpkin Roll for Possible Foreign Object

Wegmans is recalling all date codes of Wegmans Pumpkin Roll because the product may contain pieces of plastic. This may present a choking and injury hazard. The products can be returned to Wegmans stores for a full refund. The problem was discovered via customer complaints. The recalled products are the 21 ounce whole roll, with UPC number 77890-99686, the 10 ounce half roll with UPC number 77890-36693, and the 6 ounce two slices package with UPC number 77890-36684.
