Gerber Products Company is recalling some Organic pouch baby food products for spoilage risk. The company after identified a packaging defect that may result in product spoilage during transport and handling in four batches of GERBER® Organic 2ND FOOD pouches. Consumers who have purchased them should not use them. The products under recall are GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches –Pears, Carrots & Peas, 3.5 ounce pouch with UPC 15000074319 and best by/batch dates 12JUL2016 51945335XX and13JUL 2016 51955335XX; and GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches- Carrots, Apples and Mangoes, 3.5 ounce pouch with UPC 15000074395 and best by dates/batch code 3JUL2016 51955335XX and 14JUL2016 51965335XX. Beech-Nut Nutrition of Amsterdam, NY is recalling approximately 1,920 pounds of sweet potato and chicken baby food because they may contain small pieces of glass. Consumers who have purchased this product should not use it. The recalled product, produced December 12, 2014, was packaged in 4-oz. glass jars labeled “Stage 2 Beech-Nut CLASSICS sweet potato & chicken.” The establishment number “P-68A” appears inside the USDA mark of inspection. The expiration date is “DEC 2016” and includes product numbers “12395750815” through “12395750821.” They were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
