Jongilpoom enoki mushrooms are being recalled in Canada for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This is the eighth recall of this type of product in the last 2-1/2 years. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these mushrooms to date. The recalling firm is Covic International Trading Inc. The recalled product is Jongilpoom enoki mushrooms that are packaged in 200 gram containers. The UPC number that is stamped on the label is 8 807076 000321. All codes up to and including CE 179D are recalled. The product was sold in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, and may have been sold in other provinces and territories. Sun Hong Seafood Mushrooms Recalled For Possible Listeria

Sun Hong Foods of Montebello, California is recalling all cases of Sun Hong Seafood Mushrooms (another name for enoki mushrooms) because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. Sun Hong Foods enoki mushrooms were recalled in March for the same problem, amid a possible outbreak that the FDA did not comment on further. Three Enoki Mushroom Brands Recalled For Listeria Monocytogenes

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated outbreak information for the enoki mushroom Listeria Monocytogenes outbreak. Now three enoki mushroom brands, all imported from Korea, are recalled because they may be contaminated with the pathogen. These three enoki mushroom brands include Sun Hong Foods, which recalled their enoki mushrooms on March 9, 2020. Those mushrooms are the only ones thus far that are associated with illnesses. On March 23, 2020, Guan's Mushroom Company recalled their enoki mushrooms. And on April 7 2020, H&C Food Inc. recalled their product.
