Baloian Farms Cucumbers Recalled For Possible Salmonella

Baloian Farms cucumbers are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The recall notice states, "Baloian initiated this recall after learning from SunFed Produce, LLC, that its supplier of American cucumbers, 'Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.,' may be associated with reported salmonellosis illnesses between October 12 and November 15, 2024." The recalling firm is Baloian Farms of Nogales, Arizona. The whole fresh American cucumbers are packaged in bulk cardboard containers that are labeled with the "Pamela" brand; a generic white box with a stick that states "Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.;" or a clear PamPak branded bag of 6 individual cucumbers with the UPC number 8 2540107010 6 stamped on the label. Cucumber Salads and Wraps Recalled For Possible Salmonella

Cucumber salads and wraps are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination in the wake of a Salmonella outbreak linked to recalled SunFed Produce cucumbers. The cucumbers were grown by Agrotato, S.A. de C.V. No illnesses are linked to these specific products to date. The recalling firm is Russ Davis Wholesale of Wadena, Minnesota. The recall notice did not have much  information about the products; in fact, they were not named in the recall notice, but in  an FDA update about the outbreak. SunFed Cucumber Salmonella Outbreak Sickens 68 in 19 States

A SunFed cucumber Salmonella outbreak has sickened at least 68 people in 19 states, according to the CDC. Eighteen of those patients have been hospitalized. No deaths have occurred. The case count by state is: Alaska (1), California (1), Colorado (8), Iowa (2), Illinois (2), Massachusetts (5), Montana (16), Nebraska (1), New Jersey (1), New York (1), Ohio (1), Oregon (7), Pennsylvania (1), South Dakota (4), Texas (5), Utah (2), Washington (5), Wisconsin (3), and Wyoming (2). Illness onset dates range from October 12, 2024 to November 16, 2024. The patient age range is from less than one year to 98 years.
