Fresh Creative Foods is recalling Beef Gyro Sandwich Meal Kits because they were made with recalled cucumbers from Baloian Farms, which were recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The recall notice did not state whether or not any illnesses have been reported to the company in connection with the consumption of this product. There is a Salmonella outbreak linked to recalled SunFed cucumbers that has sickened at least 68 people in 19 states. Secondary SunFed cucumber recalls for possible Salmonella contamination have been accumulating. We have collected them in this spot for easy reference. The cucumbers in question are linked to a multistate Salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 68 people in 19 states. Eighteen patients have been hospitalized. These recalls are urgent because the products are not heated before they are eaten. Without that kill step, pathogens can easily survive and will make someone sick when the products are eaten. These items were made with recalled SunFed cucumbers that are linked to a multistate Salmonella outbreak. No illnesses have been reported to date linked to these specific items. The recall notice did not mention whether or not any illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is Walmart Inc. The recall was triggered when the FDA revealed a Salmonella outbreak was linked to SunFed cucumbers. That outbreak has sickened at least 68 people in 19 states. Baloian Farms cucumbers are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The recall notice states, "Baloian initiated this recall after learning from SunFed Produce, LLC, that its supplier of American cucumbers, 'Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.,' may be associated with reported salmonellosis illnesses between October 12 and November 15, 2024." SunFed Cucumber Salmonella Outbreak Sickens 68 in 19 States

A SunFed cucumber Salmonella outbreak has sickened at least 68 people in 19 states, according to the CDC. Eighteen of those patients have been hospitalized. No deaths have occurred. The case count by state is: Alaska (1), California (1), Colorado (8), Iowa (2), Illinois (2), Massachusetts (5), Montana (16), Nebraska (1), New Jersey (1), New York (1), Ohio (1), Oregon (7), Pennsylvania (1), South Dakota (4), Texas (5), Utah (2), Washington (5), Wisconsin (3), and Wyoming (2). Illness onset dates range from October 12, 2024 to November 16, 2024. The patient age range is from less than one year to 98 years.
