Now 10 Sick in Twin Sisters Raw Milk Cheese E. coli Outbreak

There are now 10 people sick in the Twin Sisters raw milk cheese E. coli outbreak, according to the Washington State Department of Health (DOH). Nine of the patients live in Washington state, and one lives in Oregon. One person has been hospitalized. The cheeses have been recalled. All cases have illness onset dates before the cheese was recalled on October 24, 2025. There are two serotypes of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) bacteria in this outbreak: E. coli O103 and E. coli O26. Two Washington residents and one Oregon resident are infected with E. coli O103. Whole genome sequencing of these isolates is extremely similar to the E. coli O103 found in the Twin Sisters Creamery Farmhouse and Whatcom Blue cheeses. Baekdu Peak Enoki Mushrooms Recalled in Canada For Listeria

Baekdu Peak Enoki Mushrooms are being recalled in Canada for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is Goldenway Import & Export Ltd. These mushrooms were sold in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia at the retail level. The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results. The recalled product is Baekdu Peak Enoki Mushroms that are packaged in a clear plastic 200 gram package. You can see the mushrooms through the packaging. Vampire Slayer Cheese Recalled Again For Possible Listeria

Vampire Slayer Cheese is being recalled again for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. In June 2025, the company's Vampire Slayer Cheese Curds were recalled for Listeria contamination. This time, the company's Garlic Cheddar cheese is recalled. The recall notice did not state whether or not any illnesses have been reported to date. The recalling firm is Face Rock Creamery of Bandon, Oregon. The recall was triggered when the FDA took environmental samples of the processing area where the cheese is packaged. Great Lakes Wholesale Batteries Recalled For Ingestion Hazard

Great Lakes Wholesale Batteries are being recalled because the packaging poses an ingestion hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The button cell and lithium coin batteries are not in child-resistant packaging and do not have the warning labels required under Reese's Law. Batteries can cause serious injuries if ingested, including internal chemical burns and death. No injuries have been reported to date. Kirkland Signature Prosecco is being recalled because the bottles pose a laceration hazard. The bottles can break or shatter unexpectedly. There have been ten reports of the bottles shattering or breaking, causing one laceration injury. The importer is F&F Fine Wines International, doing business as Ethica Wines of Miami, Florida. The wine was made in Italy. The recall is for certain lots of Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG. The ByHeart infant botulism outbreak case count has surged to 23 babies sick, according to the CDC, an increase of eight more illnesses since the last update was issued three days ago. One more state, Michigan, has been added to the investigation. The case count by state is: Arizona (3), California (3), Illinois (2), Kentucky (1), Michigan (1) Minnesota (2), North Carolina (2), New Jersey (1), Oregon (2), Pennsylvania (1), Rhode Island (1), Texas (3), and Washington (1). For 22 infants whose age is available, they range in age from 16 to 200 days. Illness onset dates range from August 9 to November 11, 2025. Carole's Cheesecake cheesecakes made with pistachios are being recalled in Canada for possible Salmonella contamination. The recall notice did not state whether or not any illnesses are linked to these products. The two products are Moringa Leaf Powder and Organic Supergreens Powder Mix. The Moringa Leaf Powder was packaged in 8 ounce, 1 pound, 2 pound, 4 pound, 8 pound, 16 pound, and 44 pound bags. Two more moringa leaf products have been recalled with links to illnesses in the Salmonella Richmond outbreak that has sickened at least 11 people in seven states, according to the FDA. The newly recalled products are Food to Live Organic Moringa Powder and Food to Live Organic Supergreens Powder Mix. Africa Imports Moringa Leaf Powder, previously recalled, had the "no illnesses linked to this product" statement removed. The case count by state is: Florida (2), Kansas (2), Michigan (1), North Carolina (1), New York (1), South Carolina (1), and Virginia (3).
