Another Patron of Dave’s Sushi in Bozeman Montana Dies

Another patron of Dave's Sushi restaurant in Bozeman, Montana has died, according to the Gallatin County Sheriff's Department and news reports. The sheriff  "confirmed that this woman had been a patron at Dave's Sushi." But there are no details about when she ate at the restaurant, the cause of death has not been determined, and no one has officially linked the death to food served there. The woman, 64-year-old Donna Ventura of Belgrade, Montana, was hospitalized at the Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center. There is no information on how long she was hospitalized. Dave’s Sushi Food Poisoning Outbreak Sickens Customers

A Dave's Sushi food poisoning outbreak has sickened an undetermined number of customers, according to news reports and the Gallatin City-Council Health Department. One man has died, but the cause of death has not yet been determined and that death has not been linked to the restaurant. The restaurant is located at 115 North Bozeman Avenue in Bozeman, Montana. The health department was told about the outbreak on April 17, 2023, and inspected the restaurant on April 18, 2023. The restaurant is closed while officials investigate. One Person Has Died in Famous Anthony’s Hepatitis A Virginia Outbreak

One person has died in Famous Anthony's hepatitis A outbreak, as reported by several news outlets. That person had been hospitalized with complications from this infection. The patient allegedly had underlying medical conditions. No further information will be released about this person because of patient privacy and respect for the family. The outbreak began when an infectious employee worked at three Famous Anthony's restaurant locations in Roanoke, Virginia from August 10 to August 26, 2021. They are located at 4913 Grandin Road, 6499 Williamson Road, 2221 Crystal Spring Avenue. Four Americans Are Dead After Ingesting Methanol Hand Sanitizers

According to the Centers for Disease Control and PRevention's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report for the week of August 5, 2020, four Americans are dead after ingesting methanol hand sanitizers. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers should only contain ethanol or isopropanol, but recently, some of them have been found to contain methanol. Methanol, or wood alcohol, is toxic when absorbed through the skin and can kill if ingested. Children can accidentally consume this product, and some adults use ethanol or isopropanol for substitutes for alcohol. Many recalls of these products have been issued in the past few months.
