Taylor Farms Products With Onions Recalled For Possible Salmonella

Taylor Farms Texas, of Dallas, Texas, is voluntarily recalling Taylor Farms products with onions because they may be contaminated with Salmonella. There is a multistate Salmonella Newport outbreak in the U.S. that has sickened almost 400 people. But there have been no reports of illness to date associated with these recalled items. These products were distributed in select states from July 30, 2020 to August 1, 2020. They were sold at Kroger and Walmart stores in those states. Now 641 Sick in Fresh Express Bagged Salad Cyclospora Outbreak

As of July 22, 2020, there are 641 people sick in 11 states in the Fresh Express bagged salad cyclospora outbreak. That's an increase of 132 more patients since the last update on July 9, 2020. Thirty-seven people have been hospitalized because they are so sick. There is also an outbreak in Canada that has sickened people in three provinces that is also linked to Fresh Express salad products. The case count by state is: Georgia (1), Iowa (195), Illinois (198), Kansas (5), Minnesota (73), Missouri (57), Nebraska (55), North Dakota (6), Pennsylvania (2), South Dakota (13), andWisconsin (36). Fresh Express Recalls Walmart Marketside Iceberg Salad For Cyclospora

Fresh Express is recalling some of its Walmart Marketside Iceberg Salads because it may be contaminated with the cyclospora parasite. A cyclospora outbreak linked to bagged salads has sickened at least 206 people in 8 states in the midwest. Fresh Express has been named by the FDA as the manufacturer of salads potentially linked to that outbreak. The recall is for all product codes of Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad that is sold in 12 and 24 ounce size packages. The best if used by dates on the packages are May 19, 2020 to July 4, 2020. They were distributed to select Walmart stores between June 1 and June 21, 2020 in Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Bagged Salad Cyclospora Outbreak: Walmart Product Added, 206 Sick

The bagged salad cyclospora outbreak has been updated by the FDA. A new product has been added to the list of salads in the  outbreak: Walmart's Marketside Classic Iceberg Salad sold in 12 and 24 ounce sizes. The FDA has named Fresh Express as the producer of these salads. And there are now 206 people in 8 states sick in this outbreak. North Dakota has been added to the outbreak list. The case count by state is: Iowa (74), Illinois (57), Kansas (1), Minnesota (25), Missouri (10), Nebraska (20), North Dakota (6), and Wisconsin (13). Twenty-three people have been hospitalized because they are so sick. And the illness onset dates range from May 11, 2020 through June 17, 2020. Did You Buy Unpackaged Produce at Walmart in Andover, MN This Week?

If you purchased fresh, unpackaged produce at the Walmart Supercenter in Andover, Minnesota, at 1851 Bunker Lake Boulevard Northwest on Saturday, between 6:00 am on Sunday, June 23 and 10:30 pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, throw it away. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is issuing a consumer advisory in response to a "chemical incident" that occurred at that facility on June 22, 2019 around 5:00 pm. The news release did not state what the chemical was. It only states that if you bought the food, don't eat it and throw it out.Other unpackaged foods for sale at that Walmart store were destroyed following the "incident." Salmonella Contaminated Precut Melons Sold at Target, Kroger, Walmart, Trader Joes, Amazon/Whole Foods

The Salmonella Carrau outbreak linked to precut melons produced by Caito Foods has sickened at least 93 people. The Salmonella contaminated precut melons were sold at Kroger, Target, Trader Joes, Amazon/Whole Foods, Walmart stores, and independent grocery stores in several states under several different brand names. Caito Foods recalled precut melons in many different combinations and iterations on April 12, 2019, the day the outbreak was announced by the FDA and CDC. These products were sold in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. JBS Ground Beef Associated with Salmonella Outbreak; Lawsuits Possible

JBS Tolleson of Tolleson, Arizona is recalling about 6,500,966 pounds of raw, non-intact beef products (ground beef) because these products are associated with a Salmonella Newport outbreak. This outbreak has sickened at least 57 people in 16 states. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has not issued any outbreak notice yet for this JBS ground beef outbreak. The outbreak notice was contained within the recall notice. Some of these products were sold at Walmart. FSIS was notified of an investigation of Salmonella Newport illnesses. Those people reported consumption of several different USDA related products. A store receipt, potentially linking the purchase to a patient was received on September 19, 2018. Salmonella Adelaide Precut Melon Outbreak Ends with 77 Sick

The Salmonella Adelaide precut melon outbreak has ended, according to the CDC, with 77 people sick in nine states.  Attorneys at the Pritzker Hageman law firm have filed lawsuits in this outbreak on behalf of ill clients. Thirty-six people have been hospitalized in this outbreak, which is a very high percentage. The case count by state is: Arkansas (1), Florida (1), Illinois (7), Indiana (14), Kentucky (1), Michigan (39), Missouri (11), Ohio (2), and Tennessee (1). llness onset dates ranged from April 30, 2018, to July 2, 2018. The patient age range was from less than 1 year to 97. Fifty-one percent of patents who were interviewed were hospitalized in this Salmonella Adelaide precut melon outbreak. Lawyers Retained for Melon Salmonella Lawsuit For Woman Who Purchased Melons at Walmart

Pritzker Hageman lawyers have been retained for a Salmonella lawsuit against Walmart. A 73-year-old woman from Ohio allegedly contracted salmonellosis in May 2018 after eating precut melons purchased from a Walmart store in Findlay, Ohio. Melons and salads containing melons produced by Caito Foods have been recalled in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, and Ohio. Outbreak patients live in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Missouri. Their client needed surgery after she developed an abdominal aortic aneurism. She was hospitalized for days and is recovering in a nursing home.
