Dole Garden Classic Salads are being recalled for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The salads were also sold under other brand names. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these items. The recalling firm is Dole Fresh Vegetables of Monterey, California. The recalled products all have the best if used by date of 10-25-21. The recalled items include Dole Garden Salad packaged in 24 ounce plastic bags. The UPC number on that product is 0-71430-01136-2, and the lot codes are N28205A and N28205B. Also recalled is Marketside Classic Salad packaged in 24 ounce bags. There is a melioidosis outbreak linked to Better Homes & Gardens Lavender & Chamomile Aromatherapy Sprays with Gemstones that has sickened four people and killed two. The patients are from Kansas, Georgia, Minnesota, and Texas. The sprays were sold at Walmart stores and at Walmart online. But which Walmart stores sold BH&G sprays linked to this outbreak? The sprays are contaminated with a bacteria called Burkholderia pseudomallei that causes melioidosis. Four People Sickened - Two Have Died Walmart Better Homes & Gardens aromatherapy spray is being recalled for possible Burkholderia pseudomallei bacteria contamination, which causes melioidosis, a potentially fatal infection, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Four people, from Kansas, Minnesota, Texas, and Georgia, were sickened and two have died, including a child, after being infected with that pathogen. Lavender Aromatherapy Spray Tests Positive For Burkholderia pseudomallei

Better Homes & Gardens Aromatherapy Spray, Sold at Walmart, is Suspected in Four Illnesses, Resulting in Two Deaths Lavender aromatherapy spray has tested positive for deadly Burkholderia pseudomallei bacteria, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Testing found the pathogen in Better Homes & Gardens Lavender & Chamomile Essential Oil Infused Aromatherapy Room Spray with Gemstones. The spray was found on October 6, 2021 in the home of a Georgia resident who got sick with melioidosis in late July, 2021. FDA Notice of Tanimura & Antle Romaine Recall For Possible E. coli

The FDA has published a notice of single heads of Tanimura & Antle romaine recall for possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination. Earlier today, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development posted a notice stating that E. coli O157:H7 bacteria had been found on that romaine lettuce. The product packed on dates are 10/15/2020 or 10/16/2020 and the UPC number is 0-27918-20314-9.. The FDA notice states that "there have been no reported illnesses associated with this recalled product," and the Michigan notice stated that the bacteria found on the Tanimura & Antle romaine is "closely related genetically" to bacteria that has sickened two people in Michigan. Walmart and Racetrac Watermelon Chunks Recalled For Possible Listeria

Country Fresh is voluntarily recalling Walmart and Racetrac watermelon chunks and other products that contain the watermelon because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. The pathogen was found on equipment used to pack these products. The FDA discovered the Listeria during a recent inspection. No reports of illness have been received by the company to date in association with this recall. The recall is for Walmart and Racetrac watermelon chunks and other items that contain watermelon that were shipped directly to Walmart and RaceTrac's distribution centers stores in some stores located in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Texas. FDA Updates the Salmonella Peach Outbreak With More Recall Information

The FDA has updated the multistate Salmonella peach outbreak with more information about where recalled peaches were sold. As of August 22, 2020, there are 68 people in 9 states who are sick with Salmonella Enteritidis infections that the CDC says is linked to peaches. Consumers, restaurants, and retailers should not eat, sell, or serve recalled peaches packed by or supplied by Prima Wawona or products made with them. If you purchased any of the following recalled products, which include bagged peaches, loose or bulk peaches, and products made with those peaches, do not eat them, even if some have been eaten without anyone getting sick.
