That is an increase of three more patients and one more state since the last update was issued on February 13, 2026. The new state is Virginia. The moringa powder capsules were distributed by Ambrosia Brands LLC. The outbreak is over. The case count by state is Arizona (1), Florida (1), Iowa (1), Illinois (1), Indiana (2), Tennessee (1), Virginia (1), and Washington (2). FDA Adds Info to Raw Farm Raw Cheddar E. coli Outbreak
The FDA has added information to the Raw Farm raw Cheddar cheese E. coli outbreak, including where the cheese may have been sold. This outbreak has sickened at least nine people in three states; most of them are children. The FDA has encouraged Raw Farm to recall this cheese, but the owners of the farm have refused. So the FDA is warning people to not eat Raw Farm raw Cheddar cheese, both in block form and shredded, that was purchased on or after January 4, 2026. The cheese may have been sold at Sprouts Farmers Market and HEB stores, according to patient reports. There may be other retailers who are selling this cheese. Nexgrill Metal Wire Bristle Grill Brushes are being recalled for an ingestion hazard. Small bristles can detach from the brushes during use and can stick to the grill, where they can get into food. Swallowing these little wire pieces can cause serious internal injuries that could require surgery. There are at least 68 reports where the bristles detached from the brushes. CPSC's Water Beads Safety Standard is now in effect to protect children from this deadly hazard. Water beads manufactured after March 12, 2026 must meet the new performance, labeling, and testing requirements. Water beads can cause blockages if ingested, and other injuries if inhaled or inserted into the ears or nose. These beads are small, water-absorbing, colorful balls of super absorbent polymer that can grow up to 100 times their original size when exposed to water. Salmonella Agbeni Outbreak Linked to Ice At County Fair in IL
A Salmonella Agbeni outbreak linked to ice in a contaminated cooler at the Brown county fair in Illinois in 2024 sickened at least 13 people, according to the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR). The outbreak was discovered when the Brown county sheriff told the Health Department that many potential jurors who were being screened for a trial had reported being sick with a gastrointestinal illness at the end of the fair. One week later, a lab confirmed case of Salmonella Agbeni was reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health. An investigation found that there were seven lab confirmed and six probable cases of Salmonella Agbeni infection across five Illinois counties.
