No illnesses, human or animal, have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is TFP Nutrition. The pet food was manufactured at the company's plant on November 13, 2022 at its Nacogdoches, Texas facility. The product was distributed only in the state of Texas and sold in HEB retail stores. All of this product has been removed from store shelves. No other HEB products are affected by this voluntary recall. Avoid Potentially Contaminated Oysters from Harvest Area TX 1
The FDA is advising restraints and consumers to avoid potentially contaminated oysters from Harvest Area TX 1 in Galveston, Texas. The culprit is norovirus. Last week, the Texas Department of Health and Human Services revealed that an outbreak linked to those oysters has sickened dozens of people in Florida and Texas. The oysters were harvested between November 17, 2022 and December 7, 2022 from that harvest area and were distributed to restaurants and retailers in these states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The Mariscos Bahia seafood Salmonella Litchfield outbreak has ended with 39 people sick in four states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That is an increase of six more patients since the last investigation update that was issued on October 25, 2022. The outbreak has ended as of December 14, 2022. The patient case count by state is: Arizona (13), California (24), Illinois (1), and Texas (1). Illinois has been added to the state list. The new patients live in California and Arizona. Illness onset dates range from June 14, 2022 to October 23, 2022. The patient age range is from 1 to 80 years. A Galveston Bay oyster outbreak in Texas has sickened dozens of people in that state and also in Florida, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). A recall of all oysters that were harvested in the TX 1 area of southeastern Galveston Bay has been ordered. No other species of seafood are affected by this recall. The recall includes oysters on the half shell and shucked oysters that were harvested there from November 17, 2022 through December 7, 2022. A Tahoka Texas K9 Dinner Salmonella outbreak has sickened at least 30 people, as of October 25, 2022, according to news reports and the city's Facebook page. Lynn County Judge Mike Braddock is allegedly the source of the K9 Dinner information. The fundraiser was held on October 16, 2022. The generic Cyclospora outbreak illnesses have reached 800, with 52 in the hospital, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That's an increase of 416 more ill persons since the last update issued a month ago, and 22 more people hospitalized. None of these patients had a history of international travel during the 14 day period before illness onset. And there is still no food or foods or venues named by the government.
