Kroger Trays and Platters Recalled For Possible Salmonella

Kroger trays and platters are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination because they were made with recalled cucumbers that are linked to a Salmonella outbreak that sickened at least 113 people. Because this recall notice was posted on the FDA’s Enforcement Reports page, not the regular recall page, there is no information about whether or not any allergic reactions have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these products. The recalling firm is Kroger Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio. The recall initiation date was 11/29/2024, but the center classification date was 1/10/2025. Unsolved Romaine E. coli Outbreak Ends, in FDA CORE Table

The unsolved romaine E. coli O157:H7 outbreak has ended, and three other outbreaks remain on the FDA's CORE Outbreak Table. Only one outbreak is ongoing. All of the investigations are still active. All of those outbreaks are unsolved. The romaine E. coli O157:H7 outbreak sickened at least 88 people. The grower, supplier, and any grocery stores or restaurants that may have supplied the lettuce are unnamed. The FDA conducted traceback investigations, conducted inspections, and collected and tested samples, but no recalls were issued. For the Listeria monocytogenes outbreak that is still ongoing, there are at least 31 patients sick. SunFed Cucumber Salmonella Typhimurium Outbreak Ends

The SunFed cucumber Salmonella Typhimurium outbreak has ended with 113 people sick in 23 states, with 28 hospitalized, according to the CDC.  That's an increase of 13 more illnesses and three more hospitalizations since the last update was issued on December 19, 2024. The case count by state is: Alaska (2), Arizona (1), California (4), Colorado (8), Iowa (3), Illinois (4), Massachusetts (6), Michigan (3), Montana (18), Nebraska (1), New Jersey (2), New Mexico (1), Nevada (1), New York (1), Ohio (1), Oregon (9), Pennsylvania (1), South Dakota (5), Texas (8), Utah (2), Washington (9), Wisconsin (13), and Wyoming (8). New Listeria Monocytogenes Outbreak on FDA CORE Table

There is a new Listeria monocytogenes outbreak on the FDA's CORE Outbreak Table. There are only three active outbreaks on the table at this time; one has been partially solved, and one has been solved but is still growing. The new Listeria monocytogenes outbreak has sickened at least 31 people. The FDA has initiated traceback, but has not issued a recall, inspected any facilities, or tested samples. The E. coli O145:H29 outbreak that sickened at least eight people has not been solved. The outbreak itself has ended, but the FDA is still investigating. The SunFed cucumber Salmonella outbreak has grown to include 100 patients in 23 states, according to the CDC. And 25 people are hospitalized. That's an increase of 32 new cases, four  new states, and seven new hospitalizations since the last update was issued on December 5, 2024. Yummi Sushi cucumber products are being recalled for possible  Salmonella contamination. The products were made with recalled SunFed cucumbers that are linked to a Salmonella outbreak. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these products. These items were sold at Kroger stores in Texas. The recalling firm is Yummi Sushi of Farmers Branch, Texas. This recall was issued on December 5, 2024, but the list of products was only added yesterday. Hardie’s Fresh Foods Recalls Cucumbers For Salmonella

Hardie's Fresh Foods is recalling cucumbers for possible Salmonella contamination. That company is located in Houston and Dallas, Texas. Their supplier sold them cucumbers from SunFed, which are being recalled and are linked to a Salmonella outbreak. No illnesses have been reported to date that are linked to these specific cucumbers. The recalling firm is Dairyland Produce, doing business as Hardie's Fresh Foods. The recalled cucumbers were sold at Costco stores in Houston and Dallas. The recalled product is Hardie's Fresh Foods cucumbers that are packaged in a clear plastic bag. There are six cucumbers in each bag. F&S Fresh Foods Recalls Mediterranean Party Tray with Cucumber

F&S Fresh Foods is recalling their Mediterranean Party Tray with Cucumbers from SunFed Produce. Those cucumbers are linked to a Salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 68 people in 19 states. The Grecian Delight Tzatziki that was supplied to F&S Fresh Foods and was included in the kit was made with those cucumbers. No illnesses have been reported to F&S Fresh Foods to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalled product is F&S Fresh Foods Mediterranean Party tray that is packaged in a 22 ounce clamshell container with a clear lid.
