There is a possible hepatitis A exposure at the Tam O'Shanter Restaurant in Los Angeles, California, according to the County of Los Angeles Public Health Department. That restaurant is located at 2980 Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Angeles. No additional cases have been identified or reported to date. An ill employee may have been contagious while at work. Anyone who ate food or drank at this restaurant between the dates of October 24 and November 1, 2025 could have been exposed to the virus. That means that anyone who ate or drank there before October 27, 2024 is no longer eligible to receive a hepatitis A or immune globulin vaccine. Thirteen babies are sick with botulism poisoning after consuming that formula. The California notice now states that those illnesses are linked to ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula. ByHeart recalled two lots of that product on November 8, 2025. The product is packaged in a 24 ounce can. Synthetic kratom, or 7-OH, is linked to deaths in Los Angeles County, California, according to the County of Los Angeles Public Health Department. The compound 7-OH is 7-Hydroxymitragynine. Three more overdoses have been identified; six fatal overdoses are now linked to this substance. Most of the fatal overdose cases also consumed alcohol and had other medications in their systems, but the people who died were otherwise generally healthy. However, the news release states that the investigation is at two Chubby Cattle restaurants: one in Little Tokyo and one in Rowland Heights. Investigators say they have identified a "strong link" between the egg outbreak and the Chubby Cattle outbreak.
